Hello my lovely followers! It’s been a minute since my last blog post!! I thank you so much for your patience in waiting for me, it really means so much. This past Monday, I popped into New York City to see the Delacroix exhibit being held at the Met (read about my trip here!), and received so many compliments and likes on my Instagram post from that day, I wanted to dedicate a blog post to my look! (I think it’s one of my favorites so far!).
Fall is seriously my favorite season … from the changing colors on the trees, to the crisp weather, to the added layers on outfits, what’s not to love?! I wanted to get into the vibe of the exhibit, which was a retrospective of a 19th century French artist with my look that day, and channeled “Parisian Chic” when I was getting dressed. I recently did a fall clothing haul to update my wardrobe, and wore a few pieces from that shopping trip. I love to shop around to mix up my style, but I am a devotee to Express, where my sweater and skirt are from (details above).
I have become such a big fan of tights over the years, and it really took root when I was living in London. I just think they add a wonderful layer of polish and sophistication to any look! My absolute favorite, can’t-live-without-them pairs of tights are from Spanx. They are so thick and stretchy … you know they are not going to rip like some other lesser-quality brands; and now they are making so many options with cool patterns and details, I think they are all so amazing! I had on a pair of black quilted slides from Steven Madden that matched my quilted Chanel bag, and I topped of my look (literally) with my favorite black beret. I absolutely LOVE hats, and they’re just another reason to love fall!
I was so totally flattered that the post received as much attention and engagement that it did! I received compliments from “Parisian vibes” to “Blair Waldorf-esque”! Be on the lookout for more fall fashion posts! Scroll down for the full look!
