Last weekend, I met up with my long-time friend for a Christmas-themed shoot in Rockefeller Center and to catch up! After a quick coffee from Bouchon Bakery, we met, and were off! The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree has just been lit last week, and we wanted to take advantage of the annual sight. The plaza was PACKED with people wanting to see and snap a picture of the tree, the rink, and all of the gorgeous lights and decorations that are up! With each passing year, I think the tree gets more and more beautiful!
Right across from the tree on a sidewalk of the plaza are the most gorgeous potted-evergreen trees that are lit with white lights. It wasn’t as busy as the tree was, so the photo ops were amazing!
I got a bunch of compliments on my outfit from that day, and I think it’s one of my favorites of the season so far! I’ve been so into fun, colorful outerwear this season. If you’re like me and are more minimal in your personal style, adding a patterned or unexpected-colored accessory can really complete an outfit – in this case it was my red plaid coat.
We moseyed around a packed Rock Center, the store front of Saks and saw the light show, and then made our way through to Radio City Music Hall and the large ornaments on 6th Avenue.
Christmas in New York is always such a treat to see, and I can’t wait to go back this season and soak up all that is has to offer! I have a few more sights on my list for this year, and I can’t wait to share them with you!
