Peony Mornings

“If I had a flower for every time I thought of you, I could forever walk barefoot through my own garden” – Alfred Tennyson

Each spring as the green comes through and the flowers bloom, I am always eager to see a few blossoms in particular. Peonies have long been a favorite flower of mine, from their soft pink shade, to their beautiful fragrance, how could they not be a favorite?!

Last spring, I found out about a little New Jersey gem that left me wanting to go back for more. This past weekend, I went to Peony’s Envy in Bernardsville, New Jersey to soak up the plethora of incredible peony blooms. The gardens are massive, laid out over a 7 acre property, and features all kinds of species and colors of the beautiful flower. I was most partial to the ‘pillow talk’ peonies and their soft pink shade

I wore the dreamiest, flowiest, soft purple dress from Gal Meets Glam Collection’s April drop (a favorite from last year that they brought back!). I had the most fun twirling around in it and seeing how the breeze picked up the skirt … I can’t wait to wear it over and over this summer!

I went bright and early to visit Peony’s Envy, during their photographer hours that run from 6:30 – 9:30 on the weekends during the bloom. General admission is from 11-5 daily, and is $10 per person. This was my second year to have seen the bloom, and I can’t wait to go again next year!
