Have you ever used your grad school thesis as a reference for a blog post? Because I just did 😏

I’m talking about two of my favorite things: art and fashion, specifically in its relation to the @dior Haute Couture Fall 2020 show ✨

When I saw the show, I knew it was a direct reference to some of the paintings I included in my thesis, and low-key started screaming 😂

During the final week of my Florentine summer, I booked a session with a photographer (coincidentally named Francesco!). We instantly hit it off and galavanted all around the city, coming up with some really creative shots which are some of my favorite photos. I was looking through my photo album the other day and I realized I’ve only shared a handful of the dozens I came away with!

I had plans to go down to DC last weekend to see the cherry blossoms which I had to cancel, so today I saw the next best thing 🌸

My family and I went on a little field trip to Newark today for some fresh air and a beautiful change of scenery on this perfect April day. The park is generously open to walkers and bikers, but as you can see was expectedly quiet. Whenever we passed anyone we of course observed the social distance guidelines 😊

It was also so nice to put on a dress for the first time in so many weeks (still haven’t gotten around to doing my hair or make up yet though 😂) and just walk around the park for a bit with my family 💗

After breakfast this morning, I had the sudden urge to curl my hair, which was followed by the urge to put on some makeup (for the first time in almost two weeks). Then I wanted wear something that elevated me more than my leggings and sweats ... queue this super cute jumper! 🥰 No matter what it is, it’s always important to do whatever makes you feel your best, especially now.

I’ve been handling these circumstances as best I can, but inevitably I succumb to my emotions about the uncertainty of the future, protecting my health and the health of my family, trying to stay active and move while feeling totally unmotivated, all while my family and I try not to drive each other crazy 🤪

I read as many positive and stories as I can, check in with friends and family, *try* to keep a daily structure, and workout in some form each day.
